Short links and SmartShelf pages for Get My Book
bkurl.com is the link domain for Get My Book, our Australian bookstore for independent authors. Links here are created by our team and by the authors and venues who use our platform. It is not a public URL shortener, and nobody can sign up here to shorten links.
What lives on bkurl.com
You have probably arrived here from a QR code on a bookshelf, a book cover, a flyer or a social post. There are two kinds of link on this domain.
SmartShelf pages
Addresses like bkurl.com/shelf/victoria-ave belong to a physical Get My Book shelf placed in a cafe, clinic or local business.
Scan the QR code on the shelf to see which books are in stock, read about each one and its author, then pay for your copy at the venue counter. Shelf pages do not take payments or ask for personal details.
Book links
Shorter addresses printed on books, flyers and posts take you to a book's page on getmybook.store, the author's own website or a major book retailer.
They are short so they fit on printed material and QR codes, and so authors can see how many readers each campaign reaches.
How we keep these links safe
- Only verified accounts on the Get My Book platform can create a bkurl.com link. There is no anonymous or public link creation.
- Links point to book pages, author websites and established book retailers. Anything else breaks our Acceptable Use rules and is removed.
- bkurl.com never asks you to log in, and never asks for passwords, card numbers or banking details. If a page claiming to be us does, please report it.
- Purchases happen at the venue counter or on getmybook.store, never on a bkurl.com page.
Report a suspicious link
If a bkurl.com link took you somewhere unexpected, or you think one is being misused, email us the full link and a short note about what you saw. We review every report and disable links that break our rules, usually within one business day.
