bkurl.com is operated by Evolve Systems Group Pty Ltd (ABN 51 098 121 343), trading as Get My Book. By using a bkurl.com link or SmartShelf page you agree to these terms.
What bkurl.com is for
bkurl.com hosts short links and SmartShelf pages for books listed on the Get My Book platform. It is a private link service for our own team and for authors, publishers and venues with an account on our platform. It is not open to the public for general link shortening.
Who can create links
Links can only be created from a verified Get My Book or Sell My Book account. Account holders are responsible for every link they create and for keeping the destination accurate.
Acceptable use
A bkurl.com link must point to content about a book, its author or where to buy it, such as a book page on getmybook.store, an author's own website or an established book retailer. A link must never be used to:
- collect passwords, login details, card numbers or banking information
- impersonate another person, business, bank or government agency
- distribute malware, unwanted software or files that harm devices
- disguise or hide the true destination of a link, or chain through other redirect or shortening services
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages
- promote scams, gambling, adult content or anything illegal in Australia
- infringe someone else's copyright or trade marks
How we enforce it
We review links when they are created and when they are reported. We may disable, change or remove any link at any time and without notice if we believe it breaks these rules or puts visitors at risk, and we may suspend the account that created it.
Reporting misuse
To report a link, email the full bkurl.com address and what you saw to info@evolvesys.com.au. We aim to review reports within one business day.
Third-party sites
Some links lead to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices, although we will remove links to sites we find to be unsafe.
SmartShelf purchases
SmartShelf pages show which books are available on a shelf. Payment is made at the host venue or on getmybook.store, and those purchases are covered by the terms of sale shown at the time of purchase. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Liability
We provide bkurl.com on an "as is" basis and do not guarantee that every link will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of a link or a third-party site it leads to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
